Concrete Coatings
The product lines of Polymer Science Corporation consist of high performance industrial floor systems including polyurethane concrete, commercial and residential decorative floor systems and concrete repair products.

New Concrete Protection. Protect new concrete floor right from the initial construction. Seal out dirt, oil, grease and other contaminants with our epoxy and urethane coatings. Our nationwide team of experienced certified contractors and sales managers will assist in choosing the right system that will provide the most cost effective and long lasting solution. The end result will be an expertly installed, long wearing, easily maintained industrial grade floor.

Old Concrete Floors. Rutting is responsible for the largest percentage of damage created by material spillage and waste inside the plant. Our certified contractors, using specially formulated fill materials can restore rutted areas to grade level. After a level surface is obtained, a final epoxy, polyurethane coating or overlay is applied and a serious safety hazard is eliminated.

Quality. At Polymer Science Corporation all our coatings are quality checked prior to shipment. The hardness, tensile and compressive strength exceed the specifications required by engineering as well as architectural design. No batch leaves the plant without passing extensive and stringent quality control requirements. Our experience and care in our quality are a guarantee of the best flooring and coating systems for various applications in the industry.

Experience. The quality of a coating system for concrete depends to a high degree upon the technical competence and experience of the applicator. Only professional, experienced contractors are certified by PSC to apply our coatings. Our certified contractors have millions of square feet installations experience which they bring to every job they undertake. Waterproofing and Roofing

Our products are used in demanding industrial and commercial applications where the performance of the product cannot be compromised. Following is a short list of some applications of our concrete coatings:

  • Both Toyota assembly plants in Ontario. Product used on the floor is 2300 Industrial Epoxy.
  • Honda assembly plant in Ontario. Product used on the floor is 2300 Industrial Epoxy.
  • Hyundai distribution center in Ontario. Product used on the floor is 2510 CureHard.
  • The new Dubai Shopping Mall in Dubai. Product used on the floor is System 25xx, densifyer/hardener.
  • Canada Post distribution centers. Product used on the floor is 2510 CureHard.
  • All three new Air Canada airline hangars in Toronto. Product used on the floor is our 2301 ClearGuard epoxy.
  • Alcan, worlds largest aluminum plant in Ontario. Product used on the floor is 2300 Industrial Epoxy.
  • West Edmonton Mall, the largest shopping mall in the world. Products used in Galaxy Land are 35xx Concrete Stains for decorative patterns, 2301 ClearGuard epoxy for priming and two topcoats of 3200 WB UreGuard water based polyurethane.
  • Craft Food packing plants both in Toronto and Scarborough. Product used on the floor is 2300 Industrial Epoxy.
  • Cadbury / Schweps packing and bottling plant in Guelph. Product used on the floor is 2302 Flexible Epoxy.

Following is a short list of some applications of our elastomeric coatings.

  • Toronto International Center. Product used on the roof is 4010 SmartRoof roof coating. Total roof area is over 1,000,000 sq. ft.
  • Ken Borek aircraft hangar at Calgary airport. Product used on the roof is 4010 SmartRoof. This application is now over 10 years old and regardless of ponding water and ice on the roof there has been no leaks. The floor in this hangar is coated with our 2301 ClearGuard epoxy.
  • Harley Davidson distribution center in Ontario. This project was a result of a continent wide architectural contest. Product used on the roof is 4010 SmartRoof.
  • Urethane foam insulated oil tanks in Western Canada. For more than 10 years these tanks have been coated with our TankCoat.

During this period of time not a single application has failed, there has been no warranty claims. Today over 80 % of these tanks are coated with TankCoat.
